Family and friends of Alexander Kareem are to hold a vigil in his memory this Monday (25 March) in Ravenscourt Park.

The event takes place between 5.30pm and 7.30pm in the basketball courts at the northern end of the park near Goldhawk Road.

Alexander was 20-years-old he left his home late one evening on an e-scooter to go to an off-licence on Askew Road in Shepherd’s Bush on the way to his friend’s house on 8 June 2020.

The fatal shot was fired from a stolen white Range Rover and police believe that he was the innocent victim of a feud between rival drugs gangs and had been targeted by mistake.

Despite an investigation which the police describe as exhaustive, nobody has stood trial for killing Alexander.

A reward of £20,000 is still outstanding for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Alexander’s killers.

The vigil, which will be attended by Alexander’s family and friends, will celebrate Alexander’s life and help maintain awareness of this unsolved murder.

Hammersmith & Fulham MP Andy Slaughter, local councillors and investigating officers have all been invited to the vigil.
