Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a 13-year-old boy was knocked over by a car near the Westfield Shopping Centre.

Just before 1.40pm on Saturday 17 October the teenager was hit by a light blue Ford Focus on Bulwer Street, W12.

Paramedics and London's Air Ambulance attended the scene and the boy was taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a stable condition. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene and it was found abandoned nearby a short time later.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.
