A man has been left with spinal injuries following a 'hit-and-run' incident on the Westway.

The crash happened on the A40 at traffic lights near the junction with Old Oak Common at 12:22pm on Friday 15th March.

A white van was in collision with a Suzuki motorcyclist sitting in stationary traffic at the lights.

The van then collided with two stationary cars and the central reservation. The driver fled the scene on foot.

The 30 year old male motorcyclist was taken by London Ambulance Service to a west London hospital suffering from serious injuries to his lower body. He remains in hospital in a serious condition.

No one else was injured in the incident.

Officers from Hampton Traffic Garage are investigating the collision and witnesses or anyone with information that could assist the enquiry are asked to call them on 020 8941 9011.
