Learn to Upholster or Upcycle Furniture
Join a workshop at Petit Miracle Interiors in West 12 Centre
Local charity Petit Miracle Interiors, on the first floor of West 12 Shopping Centre is running a series of furniture upcycling workshops throughout the autumn.
On Saturday September 20 there is a Do It Yourself Upholstery Workshop hosted by Lisa Perry Upholstery, offering the chance to earn how to traditionally upholster a drop-in seat, and take home a fabulously reupholstered chair to take home.
Lisa Perry has been teaching upholstery for over 15 years. She is keen to train the next generation of upholsterers and a firm believer of passing on skills.
To reserve a spot, sign up at the Petit Miracle Interiors shop, first floor of the West12 centre, Shepherd’s Bush, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
It will be followed by furniture upcycling days, held on the first and second Saturday every month, from 1pm till 4pm. The next workshops will be on October 4 and October 11.
Petit Miracle Interiors say they work in a small group so the session will be tailored to your skill level and experience. In general, you will work on a small item, such as a chair, stool or side table, and you can expect the session to cover the following:
The costs of these sessions are £45 per person, including all tools and materials.
Please note: if you would like to purchase the item you have worked on, you will be given a discount off of the purchase price.
There is also a limited number of spaces offered, at £20, to people who have experienced homelessness, and/or the long-term unemployed.
