World's Biggest Coffee Morning Comes to the Bush
Raise a cup on Friday, and raise money for Macmillan
The World's Biggest Coffee Morning is here again on Friday September 24.
This annual event is Macmillan Cancer Support's biggest fund-raising event, with coffee mornings taking place at hundreds of locations all over the country - in private homes, shops, restaurants and offices.
As they enjoy their coffee, those taking part are asked to make a donation to help Macmillan carry on its work helping people affected by cancer.
Furniture store Feather and Black, at 584 Fulham Road are offering also free coffee to customers to customers every day until October 3 and encouraging them to make a donation to Macmillans.
M&S Cafes, including the one in Kensington High Street are Macmillan's official partners in the Biggest Coffee Morning, and are offering to donate 50p for every cup of coffee sold on September 24. There are also a number of Macmillan goodies for sale in stores, and M&S is also donating 10% of the price of treats including bacon rolls and brownies to the charity.
Last year over 43,000 people registered to hold coffee mornings, and the whole thing raised an astonishing £7.9million for Macmillan. This year Macmillan aim to raise this to over £8 million.
