Dog lovers from across the borough are invited to a special dog show at Ravenscourt Park this Saturday, September 8, run by Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s Parks Constabulary.

The event is open to canines of all shapes and sizes, who are invited to compete in the following classes:

Best rescue dog
Best cross breed dog
Best puppy
Bets young handler
Best pedigree

There will also be a raffle, a dog agility course and free dog micro chipping.

The Parks Constabulary will also be on hand to provide advice for local dog owners on how to look after their animals within the borough’s parks and open spaces.

Cllr Greg Smith, H&F Council deputy leader says: " The Ravenscourt Park Dog Show promises to be a great day. But while it is bound to be fun, it does carry a very serious message – and that is to look after your dog.

" There will be plenty of advice on responsible dog ownership available on the day so I urge as many dog lovers and owners as possible to attend."

The event starts at 12noon. Entrance into the show costs £1.50 per dog with all proceeds donated to the Dogs Trust.
