Local residents are invited to get expert advice on staying safe online, at a "pop-up shop" in Westfield Shopping Centre today, Friday, March 6.

Technology users of all ages are invited to ask cyber experts their most pressing online safety questions at the first MPS cyber crime pop-up shop, opening for one day only.

The shop is open from 10am to 4pm by Next on the Ground Floor, North West Corner of Westfield.

Detectives from the Met Police's new cyber crime and fraud team, FALCON, will be joined by a range of experts from the London Digital Security Centre, Action Fraud, the banking industry and cyber security firms.

They will be on hand to offer advice about staying safe online when using your computer and devices. They will also give advice on protecting yourself from fraud and how to report it.

The pop-up shop forms is part of national week-long initiative, led by the National Crime Agency, to help businesses and members of the public guard against cyber crime.
