|Overground Services to be Boosted from May|
More frequent, longer trains will run through Shepherd's Bush
London Overground is boosting its service from May to provide four trains instead of three running every hour through Shepherd's Bush Station.
And as well as a train every 15 minutes, trains on this busy service will be longer and stations along the line will be refurbished with better CCTV, lighting and security, new customer information systems and longer platforms.
This service, which runs from Clapham Junction to Stratford, the home of the Olympic Games via Willesden Junction, is part of a planned orbital suburban rail service.
This orbit will be completed next year, in time for the Olympics, when an extension from Clapham Junction to Surrey Quays will be opened.
In addition to London Overground's service, Southern Trains' service running from Milton Keynes to East Croydon via Watford Junction - what it calls route 20 - also runs through Shepherd's Bush once every hour.
