TfL offers advice for travellers today, 26 January
There are severe delays on the Central line today, Thursday 26 January due to 24 hour industrial action by train operators who are members of the RMT union.
The walkout began yesterday at 9pm, and finishes at 9pm tonight.
And while the Central line is directly affected with a reduced service TfL says alernative services and stations are likely to be busier than usual throughout the day.
It says service on the Central line is as follows:
About every five minutes between North Acton & Leytonstone at peak times (every 10 mins off peak)
About every 10 minutes between North Acton & West Ruislip / Ealing Broadway (every 20 mins off peak)
It also says a number of stations including North Ealing and Ealing Common stations are likely to be crowded all day.
TfL offers this advice for people travelling today:
Please allow more time for your journey and travel outside peak times if possible.
