Public Open Day at Hammersmith Hospital Research Facility
Find out about research centre's work and what it could offer you
The Wellcome Trust McMichael Clinical Research Facility at Hammersmith Hospital is hosting an open day on Friday July 13 from 12.30pm to 4pm.
The research facility carries out a range of medical research projects. Some studies involve patients, while others need healthy volunteers. The open day will offers visitors the opportunity to find out about the work of the centre and what it can offer you.
At the open day, you’ll be able to:
• Have a vital signs screening. This includes having your blood pressure, oxygen saturation, body mass index (BMI) and body fat percentage measured by a nurse.
• Find out about becoming a volunteer in ongoing and future research studies.
• Listen to talks from volunteers wo have previously taken part in clinical trials, and hear about examples of studies run within the centre.
• See equipment demonstrations: including ECGs, calorimeters and exercise bike stress tests.
• Have a tour of the Wellcome Trust McMichael Clinical Research Facility.
