Halifax Bank in King Street Raided by Armed Robbers


Police arrest suspects in Banstead Close, Shepherd's Bush


The Halifax Bank in King Street, Hammersmith was raised by armed robbers around 3.15pm of Monday February 27.

The robbers forced a security guard at gunpoint to hand over a box of cash, then made a getaway in a car waiting outside the bank, which is opposite Kings Mall in King Street.

Later that afternoon, police closed in on a number of suspects outside a home in Banstead Close in Shepherd's Bush and made several arrests.

Police have confirmed that a number of arrests were made and that enquiries are ongoing.
