46 council seats in 16 wards up for grabs
Polling stations in Hammersmith & Fulham have closed and the count for the council elections is now underway.
All 46 council seats, representing the borough’s 16 wards, are up for grabs, with up to three councillors in each ward.
The first declarations, to announce which candidates have been elected, are expected from around 2am on Friday morning, while the last is expected by 8am.
Candidates from seven different parties were standing in the local election. As well as Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrats which have candidates in every ward, some wards also had candidates from the Green Party and the UK Independence Party.
Trade Unionists and Socialists Against Cut had two candidates, Roy Carey in Hammersmith Broadway and Joanne Harris in Fulham's Town Ward, while in Munster ward in Fulham Dede Wilson stood for the National Health Action Party and in Askew Ward in Shepherd's Bush Bozidar Zabavnik stood as an Independent.
We will bring you the results as they come through.
