Nubian Life Centre Hosts Fundraising Quiz for Grenfell Families

Last call for teams of five to sign up today to join in on 21 July

The Nubian Life resource centre at 50 Ellerslie Road in Whit City is hosting a fundraising quiz night to help those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire on Friday 21 July.

To join in, teams of five have to sign up in advance by returning the registration form before tomorrow, Wednesday 12 July to info@nubianlife.org.uk.

"The quiz night is a heartfelt response to the tragedy of the Grenfell Tower fire,” explained Jazz Browne of Nubian Life, which provides community support to west London’s African-Caribbean seniors.

"We wanted to do something that would bring people together to raise funds that will be used to make direct impact on the lives of survivors of the fire; particularly older residents and children."

Doors open at 6.30pm, and the first of the trivia questions will be asked at 8pm.

Tickets are £20 per person, and include food. There will also be a donations bar.

Organised by Nubian Life, together with the Westway Housing Association, the target is to raise £1,000 to assist local community groups who are working directly with families from Grenfell Tower.
