Vue Westfield is offering opera fans an unusual treat on Wednesday, February 23 at 7.30pm.

Live in 3D from the English National Opera at the Coliseum, Lucrezia Borgia is direct by artist and film-maker Mike Figgis, best known for his Oscar winning film Leaving Las Vegas, making his operatic debut.

Lucrezia Borgia follows the complex relationship between a mother and her illegitimate son, exploring the brutal nature of Machiavellian politics and the struggle for power.

Paul Daniel conducts a stellar cast including Claire Rutter as Lucrezia Borgia, Elizabeth DeShong as Maffio Orsini, Michael Fabiano as Gennaro and British bass Alastair Miles in the role of Alfonso d’Este.

Lucrezia Borgia is an opera with Prologue and two acts sung in English.
