Learn How Askew Road Has Evolved over Centuries

Hear from historian Caroline MacMillan at Business Network's Meeting

Askew Business Network's February Meeting, taking place on Monday February 11 at The Greyhound in Becklow Road focuses on the history of the local area.

From cows and sheep to horses and trams, come and learn how Askew Road has evolved over the centuries.

Local resident Caroline MacMillan will explain how the Askew Road grew from a track through rural pastures, and when the farms, brickfields and the laundries of Starch Green gave way to the shops and businesses of today’s busy Askew Road.

Caroline organises regular walks in London and when warmer spring days arrive will be guiding walks around the local area including Askew Road.

The meeting begins at 6pm and as always, all local businesses and residents are welcome. Entry is free, just buy a drink at the bar.
