Teenager Stabbed to Death in Shepherd's Bush

A teenager has died after being stabbed in Shepherd’s Bush this Wednesday evening (26 June).

The police were called to the Uxbridge Road at 9.30pm after the 18-year-old was found with a knife injury. The London Air Ambulance was also called to the scene.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the victim was pronounced dead a short while later.

Police are in the process of informing his next of kin.

A large crime scene remains in place. The Uxbridge Road has been blocked at the junction of Percy Road and bus routes 207, 228, 260, 283, 607, N207 are diverted via Askew Road, Goldhawk Road, Shepherds Bush Green, Wood Lane, A40 to Savoy Circus.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command will be leading this investigation in close partnership with police in Hammersmith and Fulham.

Detective Inspector Luke Wyllie from Hammersmith and Fulham said, “A young man’s life has been tragically cut short. Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this very difficult time. We are doing everything we can to apprehend those involved.

“Extra police and specialist units are working on the ground now to build a clearer picture of what took place and work to protect and reassure those in the local community. A Section 60 has been authorised in the Shepherd's Bush and Notting Hill areas until the afternoon of Thursday, 27 June.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed what took place or anyone with information about those responsible to contact police immediately.”
