Victim dies at the scene despite efforts of paramedics and arrival of air ambulance

A man has been shot dead in Shepherd’s Bush in the early hours of Monday (8 June).
The police were called at 12.40am to Askew Road where they found a man believed to be in his twenties who had suffered gunshot wounds.
He was treated at the scene opposite the Orchard Tavern by paramedics and a London Air Ambulance helicopter landed near the location. Despite their efforts he was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:26as.
Enquiries are underway to locate and inform his next of kin.
A murder investigation has been started but no arrests have been made at this stage.
