Join in the fun, find a bargain and raise funds to repair the church roof

St Stephen's Parish Church on Uxbridge Road is holding its second Michaelmas Fair on Saturday September 24 from 11am to 3pm.

The fair will offer 30 stalls in St Stephen’s Church and Hall selling high quality gifts, vintage and retro, china and glass, crafts, pottery, home made and gourmet foods, handmade and ethnic goods (represented by charities), upcycled cashmere, children’s clothes, natural fragrances, jewellery, cakes, jams and preserves.

A bottle stall and tombola will add to the party atmosphere, and for children there will be a bouncy castle, face painting, toys for sale, and games.

There will be a barbecue and delicious African vegetarian food plus refreshments. The famous Soul of Shepherds Bush bags, seen on discerning shoulders all over the area, will also be for sale.

The fair will raise funds for a new church roof, and there will be an opportunity to buy your own slate.

Juliet Byford, Roof Fund Administrator and Chair of St Stephen’s Committee, says: "‘We have now raised £55,000 towards our £200,000 target. This has been achieved thanks to fantastic local support for events, and we have received a number of very generous private donations."

You can see the latest fundraising total and donate on the roof fund's own website.

St Stephen's is on the corner of Uxbridge Road and Coverdale Road.
