Forthcoming Disruption on Public Transport


Tubes and trains services affected by engineering work

During the coronavirus outbreak do not use public transport unless your journey is essential.

Due to the Covid-19 virus, the following service changes will be in place until further notice:

  • No Circle or Waterloo & City line service,
  • No Night Tube or Night Overground service,
  • A reduced service is operating on all London Underground, London Overground, DLR, TfL Rail and London Trams.
  • Some stations will be closed. 

Public transport is only for key workers to travel to and from work.

TfL says this information changes frequently. Check before you travel.

The track closure programme is changing regularly because of the restriction of work sites due to Covid-19, therefore check regularly for the latest information.

Sunday 19 April

Part of London Waterloo station and the lines between London Waterloo and Barnes will be closed all day Sunday for maintenance work. The remaining lines between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction which carry trains via Wimbledon will remain open.

All South Western Railway train services will use platforms 7 – 11 at Clapham Junction.

Queenstown Road station will have no service. Please use other stations nearby.

Train services between London Waterloo and Reading will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham, calling at Wimbledon and Kingston.
An hourly train service will run between London Waterloo and Windsor & Eton Riverside and will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham, calling at all stations via Wimbledon and Kingston.
A shuttle bus service will run between Clapham Junction and Barnes.
An hourly train service will run between Barnes and Windsor & Eton Riverside.
An hourly train service will run between Barnes and Kingston.
Train services will run between Barnes and Woking via Staines.
A circular train service to and from Barnes via Twickenham and Hounslow will run throughout the day.

Sunday 19 April

No service between Richmond / Shepherd's Bush and Gospel Oak. Use District line between Richmond and Gunnersbury, and local London Buses connections between Shepherds Bush and Willesden Junction. Replacement buses operate between Gunnersbury and Camden Road.

Service R: Gunnersbury - South Acton (Acton Lane) - Acton Central - Willesden Junction - Kensal Rise - Queens Park (for buses to/from Brondesbury Park) - Brondesbury - West Hampstead - Finchley Road (for London Underground and Finchley Road and Frognal) - Hampstead Heath - Gospel Oak (Agincourt Road / Southampton Road) - Kentish Town West - Camden Road.
