Police Appeal for Witnesses to Talgarth Road Crash


Van driver bailed after death of 50 year-old woman

Police have appealed for witnesses to Monday's tragedy on Talgarth Road, when a 50 year-old women was killed on after her moped collided with a van at the junction of Talgarth Road and North End Road.

The women, who has not yet been named, was believed to be crushed under the wheels of the white van and was pronounced dead at the scene around 1.30pm.

A statement from Hammersmith and Fulham Police confirmed that at around 1.26pm, a moped and van were involved in a collision at the junction of North End Road and Talgarth Road, London W14.

Police also confirmed that the driver of the van was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. The driver, aged 23, has now been bailed to return in August, pending further enquiries.

A post mortem was due to be carried out on Tuesday June 28.
