Man Sought in Connection with Fulham Palace Road Bus Attack


65-year-old woman punched after defending another woman being sexually assaulted

Police have issued a CCTV still of a man wanted in connection with an attack on a woman on a 295 bus which was travelling along the Fulham Palace Road.

The assault happened at around 4.40pm on 20 December 2016. The woman was punched several times in the face after she verbally defended a woman who was being sexually assaulted. The man initially became verbally aggressive towards the victim. He then spat at her before punching her several times in the face. Other passengers forced him off the bus. The woman was taken to hospital with cuts and swelling to her lips.

The suspect is described as a black man, aged between 20 and 30 years old, of slim build, around 5ft 10ins tall with short black hair. He was wearing a hooded top with distinctive red checked shoulders.

Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command have released a CCTV image of the suspect and ask anyone who recognises him or has any information to contact Detective Constable Darren Barlow from the RTPC via 101.
