Barclays, sponsor of Barclays Cycle Hire and Barclays Cycle Superhighways is teaming up with social enterprise Bikeworks to provide free roadside bicycle safety checks located across London including Hammersmith & Fulham.

Barclays is aiming to fix punctures, dodgy brakes and wobbly wheels on over 5,000 bikes.

The Bike Clinics will be positioned along either Eel Brook Common, Furnivall Gardens or Bishops Park every Wednesday for two months, meeting local cyclists as they come home from work.  

Bike Clinics will also be positioned in Wormholt Park for two Saturdays in May.

The Bike Clinics will be manned by graduates of Cycle Into Work, a scheme enabling young disadvantaged people to take up training and employment in the growing cycling industry.

Here's where and when to find the free clinics:

Eel Brook Common, 5pm - 7.30pm - Wednesday 15th, 22nd & 29th May, and 12th, 19th, 26th June

Furnivall Gardens, 5pm -7.30pm - Wednesday 8th May and 3rd July

Bishops Park, 5pm - 7.30pm – Wednesday 5th June

Wormholt Park, noon - 2pm - Saturday 18th & 25th May
