Playday Returns to Ravenscourt Park

Annual free family event set for August 6

Playday - an annual free family event - returns to Ravenscourt Park in Hammersmith on August 6, with an exciting afternoon of activities for all ages to enjoy.

Hammersmith & Fulham Council says it has teamed up with JW Parnham & Son, who will be running a number of fairground rounds for free on the day.

The event begins at 12 noon and finishes at 4pm and will feature sports and games from youth organisations Rolling Base, Shooting Starz and Let Me Play.

Children can enjoy live music, basketball coaching and face painting. The event also includes stalls offering parents information on healthy eating, recycling, libraries and local children’s centres.

Councillor Sue Macmillan, cabinet member for children and education, said: “Promoting healthy and fun activities for children is a key priority for the council. This will be a wonderful and free day out for local families. I hope as many families as possible come and join in!”
