Deadline for Secondary School Applications is Looming


Parents of children moving up in 2019 must apply for a place by 31 October

Parents in Hammersmith & Fulham with children heading for secondary school in 2019 are being reminded that they must apply for a place by the deadline of 31 October.

Applications for primary school places are also now open, with a longer deadline of 15 January 2019.

Hammersmith & Fulham Council says parents of children reaching the age of 11 between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019 with queries about the process should consult its Hints and Tips guide containing basic information on getting started.

The annual brochure Moving On Up is also available with detailed information.

There is also separate advice about the secondary transfer process for those living in the South and North of the borough.

For parents of children of children born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015, who will be starting reception in primary school from September 2019 there is also Hints and Tips leaflet and the annual Starting School brochure.

Parents with email addresses should submit their application online through the e-admissions site.

The e-admissions system is designed to help you by guiding you through the process, ensuring you do not miss anything vital or make any mistakes.

The system is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, meaning you can edit your application and change preferences right up to the closing date. You should have the security of knowing your application is valid and has been accepted as you will receive an auto-receipt and reference number once you submit the completed application.

National offer day for secondary school pupils will be 1 March 2019 and 16 April for primary pupils.
