Starch Green Lights Up for Christmas on December 15


With Santa Claus himself performing the big switch on

Christmas comes to Starch Green and Askew Road on Monday December 15, when Santa Claus himself will be visiting Shepherd's Bush to switch on the lights.

At this Edible Askew Christmas event, Santa will be bringing his reindeer with him and there will be a chance to meet him and have photos taken beside him and his sleigh.

The celebrations will run from 4.30pm till 6pm and everyone is welcome to join in. As well as the Christmas lights, there will music and carol singing, mince pies and roasting chestnuts.

The carol singers will also proceed along Asew Road, where local shops and businesses are joining in the fun with festive lights and decorations and providing refreshments for the singers.

This festive event, organised by Hammersmith Community Gardens Association with support from the Askew Business Network and local businesses will start at 4.30pm and run till 7pm.

4.30 – 6.00 Come and meet Father Christmas, his elves and reindeer on
Starch Green.  Have your photo taken with Father Christmas in his
sleigh

4.30 Carol Singing on Starch Green

4.50 Tree lights switched on by Father Christmas

5.00 – 7.00 Carol Singing along Askew Road, finishing at The Eagle.
