Buy beautiful gifts handmade in Kenya from Mama Biashara in the West 12 Centre. Handcrafted jewellery, Christmas cards, prints, stocking fillers for £1, and nativity figurines made out of banana fibre and maize leaves. Mama Biashara aims to empower Kenyan women who are affected by HIV Aids and nearly 100% of the money raised is
ploughed back into a range of projects in Kenya. The charity provides a sustainable source of income for communities who would otherwise be in need. Mama Biashara will be on the first floor of the West 12 Centre until the new year. The shop space has been donated by the Centre.
Buy A Christmas Tree
You can buy real Christmas trees and Christmas wreaths from Pines and Needles, on Westfield's Southern Terrace. Chiltern Flowers, near the Central line Tube station, has real Christmas trees in pots plus accessories, while Flower Fayre in the West 12 Centre has real Christmas trees both large and small.

The Music House For Children in Uxbridge Road will be performing ' Humphrey the Very Hungry Snowman', a musical show for very young children about a snowman who travels around the world to find the best Christmas dinner ever.

If your furry friends fall ill over the festive season, the Brook Green Veterinary Practice will be open at the following times:
Christmas eve: 8.30am - 12pm
Christmas day - Monday 28th Dec: CLOSED
Tuesday 29th: 8.30am - 7.30pm
Wednesday 30th: 8.30am - 6.30pm
Thursday 31st: 8.30 - 4pm

Christmas Tree Recycling
The council will be running a free door-to-door tree collection service from Monday January 4 to Friday January 15. Just leave your tree in your front garden or outside your property where it is clearly visible and does not cause
an obstruction on the pavement, by midday on your collection day and it will be picked up.
You can also recycle your Christmas tree at one of the council's collection points from Monday 28 December to Friday 8 January inclusive. Local sites are at:
Wormwood Scrubs Car Park (the entrance off Scrubs Lane)
Ravenscourt Park (by the football pitch at the bottom of the park)
All the Christmas trees collected will be sent for composting at a facility in
Rainham, Kent.
