Askew Business Network Plans a Day of May Madness

Join the family fun on 6 May or book a table to sell your crafts

The Askew Business Network  is teaming up with Hammersmith Community Gardens Association to host a day of Mad Madness.

To day they have organised four very successful Edible Askew May Madness events on Starch Green and along Askew Road. As well as being beneficial to local businesses, they have been much enjoyed by the local community.

The next one takes place on 6 May and this year the theme is Bees and Butterflies Encouraging Wildlife.

There will be lots of activities to enjoy including: Belles of London City morris dancers; Ella the Great's Mini Circus; charity cake stall and cake competition; dog show with best dressed dog and dog and owner lookalike categories; ice cream bike; craft stalls; plant stall; croquet; face painting and making bees & butterflies with the library.

Dog show (donation £1) and cake competiton entries must be received on the day by 11am and if you would like to book a table for crafts (for a donation of £10), please contact Caroline MacMillan at southwold7@tiscali.co.uk.

Before that, the Askew Network is holding this month's Grab-a-Bite Networking Lunch on Tuesday 25 April.

The event, one of the network's regular last Tuesday of the month lunches takes place from 12.30- 2pm at The Orchard Tavern at 136 Askew Road.

Everyone living and working in the local area is welcome, but the network say that it would be very helpful for seating if you could email them to say you are coming.

If you have a business you are welcome to bring any promotional material, if not come along and join in anyway!

Contact the network by emailing info@askewbusiness.co.uk.
