Olympics Centenary Tour

Go back in time to discover the area where the White City stadium once stood

The White City Stadium was built for the 1908 Summer Olympics but was demolished in 1985 to make way for the new BBC building.

This walking tour covers what is now on that site. BBC TV Centre covers the south eastern corner, and is the site of the marathon’s finishing line. You will also be taken through the handsome 1930s White City Estate and visit the Japanese Garden in Hammersmith Park – a remnant from the Japan-British Exhibition of 1910.
