Wendell Park Summer Fair

Saturday 5th July 2008

A Summer fair run by the local community, for the local community, Wendell Park Summer Fair is now in its fifth year.

Over the past five years, this local event has raised in the region of £10,000 for local projects, including the Upper Room which feeds over 100 homeless people in West London, 5 days per week, the UR4K (Upper Room for Kids) breakfast club, which provides breakfast for 40-50 kids in White City every school day, and World Vision, a charity supporting children's groups in Beirut.

This year’s fair promises to be better than ever!  With Fairtraide and craft stalls, produce and cake stalls and a bouncy castle and games, quizzes and activities for children, a raffle, tombola and auction… and much more!

All profits this year will be divided between the Upper Room for Kids, ALMA (Angola, London, Mozambique Association) and the St Saviour’s Community Hall Disability Access project.

Always well supported by the local community, the Mayor of Hammersmith and Fulham has promised to attend the fair, along with local councillors and the MP for Ealing, Acton and Shepherd’s Bush, Andrew Slaughter.
