Police Arrest Man Over Hit and Run in Bulwer Street


As accident victim Saboor, 13 remains in induced coma

Police investigating the hit and run accident in Bulwer Street on Saturday which left 13 year-old Saboor Gul with head injuries have made an arrest.

Police say a 36 year-old man attended a west London police station on Tuesday by appointment where he was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.

He is currently in custody.

Meanwhile Saboor remains in an induced coma in hospital with his family at his bedside.

Police say on Saturday, 17 October shortly before 1.40pm, officers on foot patrol had attempted to speak to a man in Caxton Road, W12.

The man got into a light green Ford Focus, then drove off and collided with Saboor on Bulwer Street, W12.

The driver of the Ford Focus failed to stop at the scene. The car was found abandoned a short time later in nearby India Way.

The London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating and continue to appeal for information.
