Askew Road Sealed Off by Police on Wednesday Afternoon


Police say man's death in local property unexplained but thought non-suspicious

Part of Askew Road in Shepherd's Bush was sealed off and local shops and businesses evacuated this afternoon, 27 September after emergency services were called to help a man suffering from a cardiac arrest.

The man, sadly was pronounced dead at the scene.

These pictures show the scene on the normally busy street between around 4pm this afternoon.

The Met Police have tonight explained the closure, saying: " Police were called by the London Ambulance Service on Wednesday, 27 September at 2.45pm to an address in Askew Road, W12 following a report of a man in cardiac.

"The emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 3.12pm."

Police say the man's next of kin are aware that he has died.

They add: " The death is being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious. "
