Theft Outside Natwest Bank, Shepherd’s Bush Green
On 16 April at around half past five in the afternoon, a 60-year-old woman had her bank card stolen as she was trying to take some money out of the Natwest cash machine. She had almost finished the transaction when she was distracted by two men, one standing in front of her, the other behind. As one of the men placed a piece of paper in front of the woman, her cash card disappeared. The woman quickly removed £100 in cash from the machine and put it in her pocket. The first man rode away on his bicycle, while the second man told the woman that if she re-entered her PIN number, her card might come out of the machine. When the man began asking the woman for her address, she told him to go away and he left.
The first suspect is described as a 25-year-old Asian male, wearing blue jeans and a sky blue striped shirt. He is slim with short black hair and a soft Asian accent. The second suspect is described as a 30-year-old Asian male wearing blue jeans and a sky blue sweatshirt. He has a stocky build, short black hair and a soft Asian accent.
Robbery Along Cathnor Park
On 16 April, at around 10:15 – 10:30, an 11-year-old boy was kicking a football around inside a fenced-off football pitch area when a 14-year-old male approached him and asked him if he had a mobile phone. When the younger boy said ‘no’, the suspect attempted to intimidate him by coming very close, and then searched him. The suspect found the boy’s Nokia mobile phone in his pocket, took it and walked off with a group of about six others towards Goldhawk Road.
The suspect is described as a white 14-year-old and was wearing a black, hooded top with a white star on the arm, black tracksuit bottoms and dark trainers.
Man Attacked in Erconwald Street
On 22 April, between 18:50 and 18:55, a 43-year-old man was attacked on Erconwald Street after he had been out running on Wormwood Scrubs. A man, from a group of around 10-16 men, threw something at the jogger and shouted for him to stop. A second man then punched him in the face, hitting him in the right eye. He was then hit several times by others from the group. The victim fell to the ground, where he was kicked several times before the group ran off towards Wormwood Scrubs. The victim was left with a swollen, bruised and bleeding right eye, and cut and grazed knees.
The first suspect is described as 12-years-old, white and fat and wearing a grey top.The second suspect is described as a black youth with stubble. The suspects were part of a large male group but the victim was only able to describe these two.
Woman Attacked in Ormiston Grove
On 8 April at twenty past eight in the evening, a 34-year-old woman was attacked as she cycled along Ormiston Grove. The woman moved to the right hand side of the road to avoid a small group of 15-17-year-olds, but one approached her and pushed her off her bicycle. The woman injured her leg and her bicycle was damaged, with the chain jammed and the basket crushed. The group laughed before walking off down the road. The woman was left with a cut and bruise on her right shin.
The suspect is described as a white 15-year-old male, wearing dark clothes with a hood.
Robbery in Askew Road
On 14 April at 3.25 a.m. a 30-year-old man had his mobile phone stolen as he was trying to open his front door. A man came at him from behind, demanding his possessions, but the victim refused and banged on the front door to alert those inside. The victim was then pushed against some railings by a second man, but when the victim’s girlfriend appeared at the door, the first man snatched his Ericsson mobile phone and ran off down Askew Road with the second man.
The first suspect is described as a white, 25-year-old male, 6 feet tall and with dark hair. He was scruffy and unshaven, had an Irish accent and appeared to be on drugs. He wore a cream-coloured, hooded top and dirty denim jeans. The second suspect was hardly seen by the victim but is described as a white male, around 5 feet 8-10 inches tall, with dark, curly, collar-length hair. He was wearing a light blue jumper.
Mobile Phone Snatched Near Shepherd's Bush Central Line Station
On 6 April, between half past ten and eleven o’clock at night, a 29-year-old woman had her mobile phone snatched out of her hand near Shepherd’s Bush Central Line station. She was standing at the crossing opposite the West 12 Centre when the man approached her from behind and took the phone. He then ran into a small side street between the Central Line station and a twenty-four hour food shop. The woman lost a shiny chrome-coloured mobile phone with a colour screen.
The suspect is described as an 18-year-old male, slimly built, wearing jeans and dark hooded top.
Mobile Phone Snatched on Goldhawk Road
On 29 April, between twenty past and half past two in the afternoon, a 44-year-old woman had her mobile phone snatched from her hand as she was using it, by a youth who cycled up from behind her. He then turned around and rode off with the Nokia phone down Paddenswick Road.
The suspect is described as a 17-year-old black male, slimly built, wearing a red hooded top and blue jeans. He was riding a red bicycle.
Shoulder Bag Snatched on Shepherd’s Bush Road
On 7 April, between half past eleven and quarter to midnight, a 26-year-old woman had her handbag stolen as she walked along Shepherd’s Bush Road. She was approached from behind by two youths, just before the turning into Minford Gardens. They grabbed the woman’s bag and made off with it down Shepherd’s Bush Road, possibly turning into Westwick Gardens. The woman lost a black fabric shoulder bag, a Samsung mobile phone, a small, black, zipped pouch and £40 in cash.
The first suspect is described as a white 15-year-old with a slim build, wearing a black, hooded top and dark trousers.The second suspect is described as a white 15-year-old, wearing a dark hooded top, dark trousers and a cap. He had a dark coloured bicycle.
