White City teenager killed Craig Brown on Christmas Eve

A teenager has been found guilty of the murder of Craig Brown (pictured) in Loftus Road last Christmas Eve.

16-year-old Nathan Harris of Campbell House, White City Estate W12, was found guilty on Friday (October 9) at the Old Bailey following a trial lasting 6 weeks.

22-year-old Khalid El-Sheikh of Adie Road, Hammersmith was found not guilty of murder, but guilty of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Two other people were found not guilty of the murder. They are: 21-year-old Adil Saed of Baird House, White City Estate, W12, and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons.

A date for sentencing Harris and El-Sheikh has been set for Monday 12 October.

Police were called to reports of a man shot in Loftus Road at approx 16:50hrs on Christmas Eve 2008.

The London Ambulance Service and air ambulance attended the scene but 20-year-old Craig Brown from Shepherd's Bush, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The post-mortem gave the cause of death as gunshot wounds.

Craig had just returned from a Christmas shopping trip with his partner and their five-year-old son when he was shot. He had parked his car in Loftus Road and was unloading goods from the car when he was shot three times.
