Violent Robbery in Shepherd's Bush


Woman assaulted during attempted handbag snatch

Police are appealing for witnesses following a violent attempted robbery in Shepherd's Bush.

They were called at around 1.50pm on Monday 21 May to the HSBC on Shepherd's Bush Green, W12 after a man attempted to steal a woman's handbag.

The 22-year-old victim was subjected to a sustained attack during which she was punched and kicked. She was taken to hospital suffering from facial injuries and subsequently discharged.

The suspect is described as black, aged late twenties to early thirties, and between 5' 4" and 5' 9" in height.

Officers are eager to speak with anyone who saw the assault, particularly two workmen who chased the suspect.
