50 year-old pedestrian pronounced dead at scene after being hit by double decker
A woman pedestrian was killed this morning in a collision with a bus in Shepherd's Bush.
The woman, aged 50, was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a 260 double decker just after 7am.
Shepherd's Bush station was closed for around an hour after the incident at 7.24am, the area was cordoned off and roads in the area were also shut.
A witness to the accident, KLS tweeted @klsettlement:
" Horrible to see accident (fatal?) outside ShepherdsBush station this morning. Another reminder to be safe on our roads."
Another witness, Lisa Martin tweeted this plea @lisa300: " TFL Please put barriers along the pavement outside shepherds bush station. This morning's accident was just a matter of time."
Hammersmith and Fulham Police tweeted about the accident @MPSHammFul : " Serious PI RTC SHEPHERDS BUSH GREEN. Heavy traffic, avoid the area if possible. #FHTeam4, @LDNairamb, @LondonFire and @LAS_HART on scene."
