Harrods are to open an outlet store in Westfield Shepherd’s Bush next month.

The shop will be selling excess stock from the main Knightsbridge store which has built up while it has been closed for lockdown.

Items on sale will be include beauty products, fashion and accessories that might normally have been in the Harrods sale. The store will be on two floors of the shopping centre.

Harrods said, “The concept store has been designed to support higher levels of social distancing by allowing more space for customers, enabling a wider product selection of new-season product in the Knightsbridge store, as well as supporting the business in retailing existing stock in a responsible and sustainable way.”

The Knightsbridge store is scheduled to reopen on 15 June, and Harrods say they will be introducing footfall monitoring technology to help social distancing measure requirements be met as well as an enhanced cleaning programme.

Harrods was founded in 1849 and is currently owned by a Qatari Sovereign Wealth Fund.
