Killer Tomato Goldhawk Road

When the Killer Tomato opened in Street Feast Markets in East London, its burritos were voted the Best in London.

Now the Tomato has landed in Goldhawk Road at the site of the former Pasha kebab shop, giving local residents the chance to judge the quality of its rotating menu, which includes burritos, tacos, quesadillas, guacamole and tortilla chips and other Mexican classics.

The restaurant says it started off with a vegetarian menu but now serves meat and fish as well as veg dishes along with one or two dishes which can be served vegan.

Owner Matt Paice has lived locall for 12 year and says that the goldern rule is that you should open your first restaurant five minutes from where you live.

There are also suitably 'lethal' cocktails including the Tequila Summer Punch, made up of golden tequila, Argentinian champagne, agave, lime and orange.

Killer Tomato says it has 32 seats, free wifi and some handy little gadgets that you can hire for a pound and use to charge your mobile at the table. It doesn't accept cash but you can pay contactless, with chip & pin, or with your phone if you have Apple or Android Pay.

Killer Tomato is at 18 Goldhawk Road, and is open from Wednesday to Sunday from midday till 10pm and only serves burritos for takeaway until 6pm. It doesn't take reservations, so it's first come first served.
