The girl was abused from 1987 to 1990 when she was aged between 12 and 15 years old. The crimes were reported to police in June 2015 and an immediate investigation was launched by specialist officers.

The court heard the attacks took place over three years in different areas of Brent. Noel Hutton knew the victim's mother and took advantage of this position to sexually abuse the girl. His brother, Robert, also attacked her. The brothers were joined by Muschette, who also knew the family.

The victim eventually became pregnant as a result of the assaults and told her family what had happened. She told officers her family had dismissed the allegations and concerned parties were told it was her boyfriend who had made her pregnant. The victim went through an abortion while still in her early teens.

In June 2015, she found the courage to report the matter and attended a police station to speak to officers. As a result of the police investigation all three men were charged with rape on 31 October 2016.

Detective Constable Alpesh Patel, of the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command, said: "She was cruelly and vilely abused while she was a child; she has had a long wait for justice. Thanks to her courage she has now seen that justice done.

"Those who are, or have been, the victim of sexual assaults will be believed and supported by dedicated investigators. As a result of the victim's bravery and our inquiry these men will now pay the penalty for preying on a vulnerable young girl."
