Visitors will embark on a journey across the ocean floor

There is to be an outdoor ice rink opened at Westfield in White City this festive season as part of a Winter Village being set up at the shopping centre.

The brand new 1,000m² ice rink will feature what is claimed to be Europe’s tallest Christmas tree measuring almost 65ft at its centre.

The rink, which will be made of real ice, will open in Westfield Square from 19 November 2022 to Sunday 8 January 2023 excluding Christmas Day and be open seven days a week from 10am to 9pm.

Sessions last 45 minutes and can be booked in advance online.

Tickets for teens and adults cost from £15.50 to £18.50 including skate hire but not booking fee. For children under 13 tickets are priced from £11 - £13.50 and family tickets can be purchased for £45-54. Season tickets are available if you want to skate regularly over the seven weeks the rink is in place.

For families, a range of entertainment will be on offer daily, with parent and toddler sessions and dedicated sessions for children with additional needs and their families. A range of skating aids will be available to hire for children as young as 3.

The rink is part of a programme of new festive events at Westfield London this Christmas, which will include a free, walk-up ‘Meet Santa’ experience and ‘Santa’s Breakfast and Bowling With Elves’ children’s event hosted across a number of days in collaboration with All Star Lanes.
