The temporary exhibition of eight London artists has been set up by 1of1design in the Westfield Shopping Centre.

Amongst the established artists are Raph Thomas, who will be bringing new originals of his colourful rainbow animals and Kate Winskill, with a new series of CatWomen prints and abstract figure paintings. Both have shown at Westfield in previous years.

Joining them are collage and abstract artist Stephen Doak and expressionist landscape painter Dilys Foster. Showing their work together for the first time are emerging urban artists Rory Thomas, Luis Alvarez and Lauren Mavromatis. These artists use text , photography and drawn and digital imagery to tell stories of contemporary life .

All the artists will be manning the gallery at different times throughout the residency , so customers can find out more about their work. Work aims to be affordable , with prints available from £50 and originals from £100 - £2500. Free local delivery is offered on large works .

Organiser Kate Winskill from 1of1design says, “On behalf of the London artists involved , we would like to thank Westfield London for their help in getting this initiative off the ground and providing the beautiful space and fitments to make it work. The opportunity to show work to a large audience of the general public , and get feedback is invaluable, especially after the long lockdowns .We hope people wanting some colour in their lives will come and find us !”

Jacinta Rowsell, General Manger for Westfield London comments, “We are thrilled to be able to offer a physical space that gives emerging artists a platform to showcase their work. As part of Westfield’s CSR and Better Places 2030 Strategy, Westfield is committed to supporting local and upcoming talent, giving them the opportunity to reach a large audience in our centre. With our research showing 55% of Londoners want to be more involved in their local in general, The Art House is a beautiful space that will help to bring colour to customers lives and homes!”

The gallery will be open 6 days a week , 12-6pm Thursday-Tuesday and 10-6pm on Saturday. Closed On Wednesday.
